I was born in the 90’s in a small countryside town in Brazil, surrounded by nature and a slower way of living. Since I was little, my days have always been filled with art: books, comics, cartoons, and lots of music playing in the background.
I’m autistic, and drawing has been my special interest for as long as I can remember. I’d spend hours creating imaginary worlds and characters no one had ever seen before. At eight, I was already telling everyone I’d be an illustrator at MSP, the biggest comic studio in Latin America. I was tiny and wildly ambitious… I actually wrote a letter to the CEO!
That dream led me through art school, where I fell even more in love with the creative process. I got to explore techniques and materials I had never seen before — it felt like m-a-g-i-c! I even had the chance to do an exchange program in Uruguay, studying painting (and a little cinema). It was a time of exploration for my art!
I’ve been working as an illustrator for six years now, and for the past few, I’ve focused mainly on children’s books! I love stories that speak about kindness, empathy, courage, and the magic hiding in everyday life. Knowing my illustrations can help children feel seen, safe, and inspired is what makes this career so meaningful to me.
So far, I’ve illustrated over 30 books for authors and publishers across four continents, and I also work with some of Brazil’s leading educational publishers, creating illustrations that help kids learn and feel represented on the page.
When I’m not drawing, I’m probably hugging my cat Loki, singing with my guitar, baking vegan treats, or upside down at circus acrobatics class. I also love getting lost in fantasy books — The House in the Cerulean Sea has a special place in my heart for a few years now!
